About Caleb Wilkins

As a Lead Outdoor Instructor at City and County of Denver, I have been applying my environmental studies background and passion for outdoor recreation to create and deliver programs that inspire and educate diverse audiences. With over 1.5 years of experience in this role, I have developed strong skills in community outreach, conflict resolution, and guest experience, as well as a deep knowledge of the local natural and cultural resources. Previously, I was the Community House Director at CrossCentral, a nonprofit organization that provides housing and support services to low-income and homeless individuals and families. For 3.5 years, I was responsible for the creation and implementation of community enriching programs, as well as the management and direction of staff and volunteers. I also worked as a Patroller at YESCO, where I drove a company vehicle to find and document sign outages and potential leads in specified areas. Through these experiences, I have gained valuable insights into the needs and challenges of different communities and stakeholders, and how to engage and empower them through outdoor education and activities. My mission is to help people get outside and enjoy the benefits of nature, while also fostering environmental awareness and stewardship.
