About Calib Chaplin

I started out my career in Surveying and Geomatics as a CAD technician in 2012. Due to my prior experience in Oil and Gas construction, pipelining and pipefitting, I was presented the opportunity to go in the field as an assistant. This combination of experiences have benefited my growth through numerous outcomes. From then on I was hooked on field survey. I enjoy the daily challenges of accessing remote locations through all seasons of the year. I'm quite accustomed and comfortable in the outdoors. Over the years my love for solving unique problems, collection of topographical information, and relating design to practical use of boundaries and geomatic solutions, have further enriched my dedication and motivation in the field of Surveying and Geomatics. I have experience in pre-legal and pre-engineering survey (legal and topo pickups), scouting pipelines/wellsites, locating buried facilities, construction layout, Right-of-way Boundary staking, grading, well center staking, pile layout, Alberta legal, AGM layout, and integrity survey. With a unorthodox entry into the field of survey, I have completed NLC: Survey Theory and Calculations (2022), advanced Drone RPAS, and all the required tickets and orientations necessary for the ever evolving industry we take part. I am open to grow my professional knowledge and skills that would better serve the field of Surveying, my performance, and the company I represent.
