About Callan Douchkov

Callan has over ten years’ environmental assessment and monitoring experience working as an environmental consultant across a wide range of clients and sectors in NSW, including government and private sector-led linear infrastructure and transport projects, renewable energy, water infrastructure, waste resource recovery, quarry, and mining. Specializing in botany with strong flora ID skills, Callan has developed and undertaken habitat, weed and vegetation mapping surveys, targeted threatened flora surveys, and project biodiversity monitoring for projects large and small throughout NSW. Callan has strong report writing skills and has demonstrated experience working with project approvals, data interpretation, and environmental management plans. Callan is highly experienced and proficient in the undertaking of remote fieldwork, and has coordinated remote ecological survey field teams for several major dam, renewable energy, and quarry projects in NSW. An avid bushwalker, camper and accredited four-wheel-driver, Callan is passionate about the Australian bush and has a great understanding and respect for the many risks and hazards involved in the undertaking of remote fieldwork. Callan is proactive about safety, and has experience in participating as an active member of a Work Health and Safety working group, focused on identifying and improving safe work practices and methods in the field.
