About Callum Clench

I am an experienced international association leader, event manager, and high-level stakeholder engagement specialist, now bringing my expertise to an exciting new sector. Since the start of 2025, I have been serving as CEO of European Rotors gGmbH, the organization behind EUROPEAN ROTORS – the premier B2B rotorcraft trade show and safety conference in Europe. In this role, I am responsible for the strategic and operational management of the company, driving its growth and ensuring its success as the go-to platform for the VTOL industry. Previously, I was an international water policy leader, serving as Executive Director of the International Water Resources Association (IWRA) from 2016 to 2024. Under my leadership, IWRA more than doubled its income, expanded its membership and revenue-generating activities, and significantly grew its secretariat. I was honored as Association Executive of the Year in 2022. I have extensive experience in international policy networks, stakeholder engagement, and event management. I am a special committee member at the Asia Water Council, Steering Committee member at the Korea Water Forum, and Board Secretary for Human Right 2 Water. I previously served as a governor at the World Water Council and am a regular conference speaker, contributor, and commentator on water policy topics. My work has been published widely, and I have been interviewed for both print and broadcast media. Before leading IWRA, I worked at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s Climate-KIC, managing climate innovation portfolios across Europe. Prior to that, I was based in France at the World Water Council, leading projects on Water and Green Growth, ecosystem services, and the water-food-energy nexus, including contributions to OECD reports. I also worked at the UK’s Sustainable Development Commission, providing direct policy input to the Prime Minister’s office. Earlier in my career, I gained experience in corporate responsibility and investment risk management in the finance and infrastructure sectors. I hold an MSc in Business Strategy, Politics & the Environment from the University of London and have lectured part-time on Environmental Management & Business Policy at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels.
