About Callum England

I am a recent graduate of BYU Idaho where my major was Geo-Spatial Computing with a Data Science certificate. I am interested in cyber risk management and helping businesses make data driven decisions with regards to their cyber risk posture. Currently, I work as a SOC I Analyst for Novacoast where I as part of a team assist in the detection, monitoring, analysis, and resolution of security incidents. I primarily use the LogRythmn SIEM but have exposure to Splunk. I am studying for the Security+ certificate and am pursuing the OpenFAIR certification. In school, I took courses where I learned Python, R, MySQL, QGIS, and ArcGIS Pro. I have been in a number of positions where I developed interpersonal skills such as retail as well as door-to-door experience selling pest control. Additionally, I served a mission for the LDS Church where I volunteered to help others improve their quality of life 16+ hours a day 7 days a week for 2 years. Learning new skills and facts is a passion of mine. I love riding dirt bikes, camping, and doing things outdoors. I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my family. My 2 yr old son and wife are my number one priority.
