About Callum Murton

I am a recent 2022 MSc Data Analytics graduate of the University of Sheffield who is looking to secure a post-graduate job in London after returning from a year of travelling and volunteering throughout Asia. This master’s combined with my undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Statistics, both completed with maximum honours, has given me a balanced skillset to tackle modern machine learning problems, which sit at the intersection between statistics and computer science. Throughout my academic years, I also managed part-time work, playing for sports teams, and an internship around my studies. Doing this has also developed my communication, leadership and time management skills, as well as enabling me to work coherently as a team on a regular basis. The internship, which was researching Gaussian Processes completed in the summer of 2020, additionally inspired me to deviate from my background in mathematics when choosing a master’s subject. The aim of this was to develop my programming skills which are so sought after by employers in the modern world.
