About Callum Walker

I am a highly motivated person which I believe is evident in my previous career progression. I completed an apprenticeship in fabrication and welding, working predominantly on heavy gauge structural steel and pressure vessels. I progressed onto a more quality based role carrying out internal welding audits and inspections before moving to what was Amec, now Wood plc. at Amec I travelled to most of the UK nuclear stations carrying out remote visual inspections on numerous parts and components of the station and reactor. After several years of traveling, and winning awards for my work, I changed role but stayed within Amec. I moved into the Inspection Verification Centre department, and expanded my knowledge of Ultrasonic Testing. My role in the IVC was Inspector where I developed a good solid foundation for a career in Quality in manufacturing, welding and fabrication.
