Background

About Calum Pringle

I am an experienced, highly analytical and committed water resources/sustainability professional with a varied background in sustainable infrastructure advisory, civil engineering (specialising in stormwater), leadership and project management, both as a consultant and client. I have developed my professional career over 12 years predominantly in the water engineering industry where I have progressed from undertaking designs and construction monitoring, to managing projects and packages of work, to undertaking technical quality assurance of projects and spearheading sustainable development projects and programmes. I now have proven experience in successfully developing and implementing sustainability initiatives, guiding the strategic direction of water sensitive design at a district level, guiding the sustainable strategic direction of an organisation and delivering environmentally sustainable development. Having worked client-side and as a design consultant, I am critically aware of the pressures and drivers from both these perspectives of project delivery. I also have significant experience working with the construction industry which helps inform my ability to consider and make balanced and logical delivery and strategic decisions. My experience and expertise in sustainable development has developed from a commitment to the environment we live in and a recognition that we can develop and implement solutions to problems in a better way for communities and the natural environment with some relatively insubstantial changes to how we work.
