About Calum Upton
I'm currently studying a Biochemistry PhD at Aston University, through the MIBTP. I also spend my time working as a Business Development Support Officer, where I get to see how important it is to communicate and commercialise research. I'm always on the hunt for novelty, new experiences and new learning opportunities. As a result, I've been involved in many other events and opportunities, such as joining the Biochemical Society Policy Network, participating in teaching, laboratory demonstration and outreach events, having passed my HEA in January 2023. I've also helped organise conferences, seminar series, journal clubs and have led development workshops as a Post Graduate Development Assistant. Outside of Science and Entrepreneurship, exercise is my passion. I've represented the GB Age Group team in Triathlon and compete in Athletics, Cross Country and Hybrid Fitness events at high levels.
