About Calvin Reddick

I am a full-time doctoral student in the Ed.L.D. program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and part-time consultant. I am a servant leader and warm demander who is always humble and hungry for change. Before resigning July 31, 2024, I served in the nation’s 20th-largest school district, Duval County Public Schools, for 25 years. As an elementary school principal, I significantly increased student achievement at three schools, moving one from a state grade of F to C in two years. In my first year as an executive director, I was part of a team that moved 21 state turnaround schools to a grade C or higher, with two schools moving from a D to a B. Serving as a district administrator has allowed me to expand my impact leading to the development of high-performing teachers, district instructional coaches, assistant principals, and principals. Being obedient to my calling, I consistently demonstrate my love for public education by supporting principals and executive leaders through quality professional learning, effective talent management, and advancing equity. I want to change the world.
