Background
About Camelia Rivera
I am a biologist/naturalist with a huge interest in sustainability and horticulture. As a recent graduate from UGA (cum laude), I have enjoyed the work I have conducted at the UGA State Botanical Garden of Georgia, initially as a volunteer of the Learning by Leading program, and now as an employee. Here I have increased my passion for gardening, landscape design, horticulture, sustainability, and environmental issues, areas of particular interest for me that I would like to further develop. I recognize that I have a lot to learn, but outdoors, particularly in a garden, is where I am my happiest. My ideas, vision, and work ethic have always been pointed out by my coworkers, leaders, and supervisors, and I am hopeful to continue growing in this amazing field. During my free time, I enjoy working on my garden, growing house plants, and visiting farmers' markets.
