About Cameron Barnes

As a professional pilot over the last 10+ years I have received extensive training and have been formally assessed in airmanship, workload management, teamwork, problem solving and leadership. Passenger and crew safety have always been my top priority whilst adhering to strict schedules to ensure customer satisfaction. I have learnt how to manage customer satisfaction in various group sizes, ensuring the customers know they are receiving the best and safest service possible with regards to weather and maintenance issues that could arise. I take great pride in delivering excellent customer service to everyone. I feel that this skill is easily transferable between roles and is an essential skillset to have. Having a large variety of experience including tourism, charter, agriculture, wildfire firefighting, water bombing, mountainous search and rescue, humanitarian work, air ambulance, airline flying and other various environmental work has required that I become a quick learner, allowing me to pick up new skills and utilise them in other roles. I have worked with companies ranging from small family businesses to large organisations such as the United Nations World Food Programme. Both are extremely rewarding work and offer ways to help people in need. My work with the UN has given me experience working in a multi-crew environment which has set the precedence of where I wanted my career to go. I will continue to grow as a pilot and welcome new opportunities to further my career.
