About Cameron Beard

As a passionate and inquisitive young professional, I truly believe in the power of asking “why?” to understand how things work and get to the root of problems. I excel in thinking analytically and creatively to discover new approaches and efficiencies in problem solving. I embrace the ability to learn new things and conduct research to further my understanding. A high, results-based standard has always driven me, whether it be during my time at Laurier or my work experiences. I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier’s BBA co-op program in August 2024 with a Concentration in Finance, a Minor in Economics, and High Distinction honours. Through participating in several cases during my degree, I gained practical business experience. I furthered my interest and knowledge in issues of sustainability through several Environmental Studies courses. My diverse work experience includes roles in sales, finance, and insurance. With Ricoh I completed analytical and data-driven work with the public sector sales team. At Power Sustainable Lios I conducted sustainability-focused research and aided in the creation of deal-related deliverables. With Equitable I monitored and reported on the performance of private placements from a buy-side perspective. As a team player, I will always go above and beyond to ensure the success of my coworkers and organization. I am also a social person who loves being around others and appreciates the ability to connect with likeminded professionals to further my personal and professional growth.
