About Cameron Carr

35 years of building and design experience Including: furniture, cabinets, doors & windows, finish carpentry, boat building and acoustic guitars. 12 years of experience in CAD 3D modeling, primarily using SolidWorks. 5 years experience in photo realistic rendering. My building experience ranges from designing and building furniture with complex hand cut joinery, to finish carpentry on high-end homes. Hand made acoustic guitars, to guitar manufacturing at an international level. My management experience ranges from production manager for CFox Guitars, a high end acoustic guitar manufacture based in the Bay Area. To living and working in China as head R&D consultant for a large Taiwanese acoustic guitar manufacture. As production manager of CFox guitars, I developed and implemented a new manufacturing strategy that dramatically increased the volume and quality of production. In China, my responsibilities included, analyzing the current manufacturing process, identify where improvements would maximize quality, consistency and speed. Then design new strategies, including, jigs, fixtures, machinery, and training. My teaching experience has included. Instructor at the American School of Lutherie, as well as teaching employees proper tool use, and building skills. In China I taught tool and guitar building skills, including a number of instructional videos for employees.
