About Cameron Cohen

I am currently a PhD candidate in Lauren Jackson's laboratory at Vanderbilt University. My research focuses specifically on membrane trafficking and I use a host of biochemical, cellular biology, and microscopy techniques to aid in my study. Previously, I spent three years working in research labs at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and Emory School of Medicine while completing my bachelor of science in Biology at Emory University. Over the course of my time in the science disciples, I have gained a particular interest in science communication, education, and outreach. During my time at Vanderbilt I have had a wonderful experience writing articles for the Center for Structural Biology and Basic Sciences. I have also had the opportunity to teach undergraduates in a biological sciences laboratory course as a TA and bring science to the larger Nashville area through my volunteer work! Over the course of my next few years, I hope to gain even more lab experience, professional training, and connections to aid me in my future career.
