Why I Became a Financial Advisor I’ve always liked investing. I spent 13 years working as a certified public accountant but becoming an Edward Jones financial advisor was always on my radar. My dad and grandma both worked with Edward Jones financial advisors. My grandmother had only a small portfolio when she started working with Edward Jones, and I saw how her financial advisor was able to help her grow her investments so she could retire comfortably and leave a legacy for her kids. Then, when I graduated college with my master’s in accounting, my grandmother sealed my fate when she handed me her Edward Jones financial advisor’s card and offered these words of advice: “If you would like a change from accounting, you should try this.” Benefits of Working With Me Formerly a certified public accountant with more than 13 years’ experience working for publicly held companies in various sectors, I have seen how businesses operate and know how they are valued. Outside of the Office I love spending time with my family and I have two young boys, Graham and Rowan. We also have two Golden Doodles, Gus and Leo. We attend Arapaho Methodist Church in Richardson, Texas, and have found a home within the community. I am an avid sports fan and enjoy playing softball and flag football and watching our boys plays soccer and tee ball.
