Throughout my career, I have worked in senior leadership roles within non-profit organizations and government ministries. I offer solid public policy and operational insight with the ability to ascertain and analyze needs, forecast goals, streamline operations, and effectively communicate plans to executives, boards, committees, staff and all external stakeholders. I possess outstanding negotiating skills benefiting all partners and stakeholders. In addition to my work, I have a Master of Public Administration (MPA), and I am working towards my Masters of Laws at Osgoode Law School. As a transparent leader, I thrive on driving organizational change and fiscal accountability based on a strategic vision, setting clear guidelines and expectations. I have built fully engaged and committed teams focused on developing and creating an inclusive and positive work culture that inspires employees to achieve higher standards. As Chief Executive Officer of the College of Speech & Hearing Health Professionals of BC, I spearheaded a major reorganization of the College’s operations and administration to protect the public and meet its financial obligations. Through organizational analysis and the implementation of a solid business plan, our organization’s reputation and relationship with national bodies and w key federal and provincial stakeholders has improved significantly. Prior to my career in professional regulation, I worked in progressively senior roles for British Columbia’s Ministry of Attorney General, including Deputy Registrar and Senior Policy and Legislation Analyst. In Government, I provided policy, strategic analysis, and advisory support to senior ministry officials and Cabinet operations that resulted in the passing and implementation of key amendments to provincial statutes and associated regulations. I have represented the Province of British Columbia on select international and federal-provincial-territorial policy and working groups, including a working group tasked with implementation of the Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance.
