As a Functional Unit Manager, I supervise an offender housing unit consisting of custody and classification staff. Direct activities related to the overall safety of assigned unit(s) and cleanliness. Serve as a liaison between administration, offenders, staff, and offender’s family. Conduct special investigations, hearings, research projects, and other duties as assigned. Review and assist administration in developing policies and standard operating procedures.As an Alderman, for the City of Hamilton, I am an elected member of a municipal legislature. I am responsible for representing the needs of my ward in local government. I have worked on developing municipal ordinances, setting utility and local tax rates. Worked with other elected officials and attorneys to develop and present ballot issues to the citizens. As a member of the city council I have assisted in the development of an annual city budget, and allocation of funds.I am currently an elected member of Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan, Board of Trustees. The board is responsible for maintaining a health insurance plans for approximately members. As a trustee, I am expected to represent the employees and their families in the development of medical health insurance plans and premium rates. I review and suggest changes to the rules of the plan to improve insurance benefits for the employees.I currently volunteer with the program The Battle Within. They are a non-profit organization that provides programs and services for Veterans, Law Enforcement, First Responders and Corrections. Their Mission is to break down barriers and provide all Warriors the mental and behavioral health support they need.
