About Cameron Fowler

I have a bachelor's degree in creative writing and a minor in communications. Two weeks before graduating with my bachelors I landed the summer marketing director position for Port Aransas Fisherman's Wharf. When my contract with the wharf ended in November of 2022 I immediately started a new position as the stewardship and branding specialist for the Port Aransas Tourism Bureau & Chamber of Commerce, which I currently work. In my position as a stewardship and branding specialist I have worked on numerous creative projects such as script writing for the Flynn PSA videos, designed numerous website landing pages for the Respect Our Island Home campaign, expanded Flynn's character creation, written blog posts relating to local environmentalism efforts, created new sub-brands used by PATB & CoC, rebranded sub-brands within PATB & CoC, and helped to create new initiatives towards stewardship in Port Aransas such as Flynn's Beach Squad. I also recently joined the board of Keep Port Aransas Beautiful as the first vice chair. In this volunteer position I help with event organization, ongoing project maintenance (such as the Port Aransas Butt-lers which is a cigarette butt collection and recycling program), and submit reports for KPAB to Keep America Beautiful. I am currently attending Texas A&M University Corpus Christi studying for a masters on English. Classes I have taken so far focus heavily of media, rhetoric and writing studies, linguistics, and the roles of literature and writing in a digital world. Note: I am not currently looking for a job, but I am open to freelance branding and graphic design projects with small businesses in the Texas hill country and coastal bend areas.
