I have practical experience, training and academic knowledge in infection prevention and control, communicable disease investigations, project management, and risk assessments. I am well versed in collaborating with multiple levels of management and diverse teams while leveraging leadership experience gained from serving in the U.S. Air Force. I am skilled in personnel and operations management and strategic planning. I have extensive knowledge in communicable disease surveillance, infectious disease pathogenesis, and translating complex clinical and technical information for various audiences. I exude a calm, flexible, and affective presence which fosters an atmosphere that encourages teamwork, innovation, and positivity. My career supported by a Master of Public Health in Infectious Disease Pathogenesis, Eradication and Laboratory Practice, and a Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
