About Cameron Hill

Currently serving in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant working Aircraft Fuel Systems and now seeking other career opportunities in August, planning to relocate. My time in the service has been good to me, it has let me see the world, make some great friends, and accomplish more in 7 years than some people will in a lifetime. However, I feel like there are bigger and better things waiting for me on the outside because of everything I've learned while enlisted. These years have made me proficient in more than just Aircraft Maintenance, such as running inspections and quality control on complex pieces of machinery. In aircraft fuel systems work is done with Hazardous Materials daily so knowing their dangers and how to properly dispose of HAZMAT was top priority for us. Additionally, it is a job where the vast majority of your work is inside of confined spaces; this comes with a litany of additional safety precautions that must be taken into account. This and leading our safety program taught the importance of AFI's and OSHA regulations. Sometimes it's as simple as meeting the regulations in place, but other times it is necessary to do a job safety analysis. This is how I ensure our environment is always as safe as possible. For additional duties I was lead on several programs; Facility Manager, Safety, Respirators, all of which gave me the expertise I need to manage whatever is put in front of me. Looking forward to learn new skills and sharpening current skills while I work towards my baccalaureate.
