About Cameron James Fox

I’m an international school leader with over 30 years of experience across Hong Kong, Thailand, and South Korea. I believe schools should be inspiring places—designed with intention, led with heart, and built around the people who bring them to life. My career has been defined by the pursuit of meaningful work, and I find energy in helping schools evolve—bringing clarity to complexity, aligning systems, and creating cultures where students and teachers thrive. From 2019 to 2023, I served as the Founding Head of School at VERSO International School in Bangkok, where I led the creation of a bold, design-driven school developed in partnership with IDEO. That project shaped not only a school, but my understanding of leadership, creativity, and impact. Before VERSO, I spent nearly two decades at the American International School in Hong Kong, including 14 years as Head of School. It was a rare opportunity to lead long-term, values-driven change—modernizing programs, strengthening faculty culture, and building a community rooted in purpose. Now, as Director of Korea International School (KIS), I’m leading a strategic repositioning focused on high-quality teaching, cultural coherence, and future readiness. My leadership draws from a deep respect for aesthetics, thoughtful design, and place—because how we feel in a space matters. I value clarity of purpose, courageous decision-making, and building things that are not only effective, but beautiful. At heart, I believe in doing work that matters—in places that feel right—with people who are willing to think boldly. My role is to hold the big picture, frame the questions that move us forward, and create the conditions for others to do their best, most meaningful work.
