On playgrounds and walking trails.At community events and neighborhood parks.In programs that make people feel seen, welcomed, and connected.I work in parks, recreation, and local government because I’ve seen firsthand how access to joyful, inclusive spaces can change lives. I’m a true park and rec kid—a third-generation Parks and Recreation professional who grew up with a front-row seat to what this work can mean for a community.My career began right out of college, and over the past decade I’ve had the privilege of serving the Bowling Green and Warren County community—helping create programs, places, and experiences rooted in purpose. I’m also a Certified Park and Recreation Executive (CPRE), committed to leading with intention, professionalism, and heart.At the heart of my work is a simple belief:Recreation isn’t about facilities or schedules—it’s about people.I care deeply about:• Building inclusive, accessible programs where everyone belongs• Investing in youth leadership and community connection• Dreaming up and creating parks and spaces that will positively impact communities for generations• Leading with intention, humility, and heart• Telling meaningful stories about public service and why it mattersMuch of my passion is shaped by legacy. Watching my grandfather and my mother serve through parks and recreation taught me that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about loving others well through everyday opportunities. They showed me that the smallest moments of service, kindness, and presence often leave the deepest impact, and that recreation is one of the most powerful ways to meet people where they are.Beyond my day-to-day work, I’m also a children’s book author. I write park-centered stories filled with whimsy, imagination, and heart—stories that help children (and adults) see parks as places of joy, belonging, and possibility. Storytelling allows me to extend the mission of parks and recreation beyond physical spaces and into the stories we carry with us.Today, I’m focused on creating joy, opportunity, and connection for all—through recreation, storytelling, and community-centered leadership.
