My passion to understand the science of how forests survive and thrive has led to a career managing this resource in a safe and sustainable way to create renewable products that are used by society every day. The key to my success as an executive in forest products companies has been a constant pursuit of new skills, knowledge and experience by undertaking a variety of different roles and ongoing education. Through this I have gained a deep understanding of the key fundamentals of successfully running companies that shareholders, employees and customers love to be associated with. More than three decades in a resource industry undertaking challenging activities has honed the skills required to successfully navigate through concerns raised by stakeholders across the spectrum of governments, community, unions and environment groups.
