About Cameron MacLeod

My name is Cameron MacLeod, and I am a visual effects artist with a focus in Motion Capture. I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Visual Effects and a minor in Performing Arts. My goal is to create performances in CG that are as effective and moving as the finest actors in the world. I am experienced with Shogun Live and Post for the capture and Maya for touch up animation. I also have years of experience in Blender for animation and motion capture. I worked on two independent feature films as a Visual Effects Producer. I consistently communicated with the directors in order to make a shot as effective as possible for the visual effects. In 2021, I was certified by The Focus Academy in Character animation, and since then have created several different projects using their workflow. The knowledge that I have gained for Matchmoving has been vital for my growth as a 3D artist. With my minor in Performing Arts, I've learned the terminology and skills needed to articulate exactly what is necessary to create visually appealing and realistic performances in both Motion Capture and Live Action Film.
