About Cameron Maxwell

Hello! My name is Cameron, and I am the Youth Opera Coordinator at Sarasota Opera! I am passionate about working with children in the arts and finding ways to engage young people in performing arts. I graduated from Flager College with a BA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Musical Theatre. During my time there, I also earned three minors in Arts Administration, Music, and Education. My passion for working with children stemmed from my days in high school where I co-founded a musical theatre summer camp that brought neighborhood kids together once a year to create a production they would never forget. While in college, I explored all aspects of theatre. From performing on stage to working in the costume shop, I feel as though I have learned about all the aspects that go into productions, but have really found my niche in arts administration. I am so happy to be able to share my skills with the youths here and learn so much more at Sarasota Opera.
