About Cameron Napier

I have taken part in a wide range of opportunities relating to my degree, including time spent volunteering on wildlife conservation sanctuaries in Namibia, South Africa and Portugal. Since moving to Edinburgh, I’ve been involved in other volunteering opportunities including RZSS volunteers at Edinburgh Zoo, Lothian Conservation Volunteers, RSPB fundraising etc. These opportunities spurred my passion for animal conservation and my studies at Edinburgh Napier University where I was introduced to other conservation fields. Ecology stood out in particular after a module on Habitat Assessment, learning skills in Habitat/species ID, GIS software use and report writing. Then after a eye-opening and inspiring guest lecture on Conservation Ecology, I started pursuing opportunities in ecology and consultancy.Just starting my career journey in a Seasonal Ecologist position at Jacobs.
