I am a dynamic leader with a track record of solving customers’ problems. I pride myself on providing calm direction, especially in stressful situations – I thrive on the challenge of time pressure, complexity and having people look to me to resolve a situation.I have had the opportunity to perform a wide range of roles and activities during my career. I am an engineering graduate (B.Eng. with Honours (First Class); Ph.D Engineering) with experience in team motivation, business strategy,(large) contract negotiation, profit and loss management, data mining and analytics, research and development, information technology, commercial risk analysis, process improvement, business/product development, sales and support, business analysis, project/program/portfolio management, technical writing and innovative problem-solving in highly competitive, commercial energy and consulting environments, in particular in the USA and Australia.I build effective relationships and assess situations to understand the problems in question; often having to go beyond, and even challenge, the stated requirements. It has also depended upon my ability to quickly learn new technologies, processes and approaches – identifying where value can be extracted and also where a competitive advantage can be leveraged. It has relied upon my capability to provide high level strategic vision, yet being able to dive deep into the details when required. Lastly, I understand the importance of good governance to make the right decisions in the right way at the right time. My experience makes me uniquely suited to managing multi-disciplinary projects and teams, navigating complex challenges and extracting value for my stakeholders.
