I am deeply committed to cultivating a classroom environment where students ask meaningful questions and explore problems that matter. My approach is rooted in the "Community of Inquiry" model, recognizing that knowledge thrives in social contexts—shared between teacher, student, and the greater community or family around us. As an advocate for lifelong learning, I believe education is not just about mastering content, but about becoming an autodidact—learning how to learn. I foster this mindset through mini-research projects that challenge students to engage independently, all while maintaining a supportive, low-stakes environment. I see each class as a "marathon" with each student as a unique athlete. Some will sprint, others will walk—but my goal is to ensure a fair race where every student can cross the finish line at their own pace (and without injury). To the sprinters, I offer challenges; to the walkers, I offer support. I firmly believe that "the credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena." and not the critic (but we will always need critics) My path to this point has been a blend of research, mentorship, and outreach-PhD from Emory University, where I developed new light-powered chemical reactions-3 years as an instructor and lab manager at Oxford College of Emory University, mentoring undergraduate researchers and teaching chemistry-Served as both an instructor and lab manager at South College’s Atlanta Campus, teaching both in-person and online-Proud to reduce Jui lab acetone use as part of Emory's Green Incentive Program and serve as safety officer-A passionate advocate for community outreach across the Atlanta area-I’ve performed in local theater (curious about my next performance?
