About Cameron Senhauser

After graduating the University of Mount Union with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering, I began my role as an Engine Design Engineer at Honda R&D Americas, LLC. I have been with Honda for 5 years. My role at Honda includes overseeing various parts within the engine throughout a vehicle's development lifecycle up until Mass Production. I am responsible for collecting data on multiple tests performed through a vehicle's development to ensure the part is meeting it's performance standards. I am also in charge of updating the designs of parts to countermeasure any failures that occurred during the development testing of the vehicle. In addition, I am responsible for continuously investigating ways to provide cost-down for the various engine parts that I am responsible for. As a portion of my job, I have the opportunity to interact and correlate with other Manufacturing, Industrial, Test and Software Engineers, giving me a diverse knowledge of other engineering fields. In terms of skills and abilities, I am proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Pro. I can use Catia, Creo Parametric and Solid Works to design 3D Models. I also have experience in MATLAB, Circuit Designer I have completed some CAE at Honda as well. I have limited capability in Ansys Fluent but am currently working on developing my skills. I am also adept at working on vehicles; as I have completed various in-vehicle mock-ups in my career. I also work on my own vehicles in my spare time. The largest hands-on project that I have completed to date is engine swapping a Mazda Miata.
