About Cameron Sutherland

Passionate About Food & Drink | Brand Builder | International Trade Consultant I started my career at Deloitte, working in Corporate Finance, Audit, and Advisory. But early on, I realised my real passion lay in the world of food and drink. This led me to roles in marketing and business development at Cadburys and Britvic Soft Drinks, where I gained hands-on experience in leadership, strategy, and operations, primarily in the UK and Ireland. Wanting to broaden my international experience, I joined Scottish Development International (SDI), the international arm of the Scottish Government. Over 10 years with SDI, I helped shape and lead the food and drink strategy for key markets like mainland Europe, the Nordics, Africa, China, and Hong Kong. This gave me the chance to collaborate with amazing partners such as Scotland Food and Drink, Seafood Scotland, the Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation, and even the British Royal Family, among others. With Brexit reshaping trading relationships, I founded Écosse Gourmet, a company based in France, to bridge the gap between Scotland and Europe. My goal is to create new trading opportunities and tackle the challenges head-on. In addition to running Écosse Gourmet, I am also the Development Director for Scottish Salmon Label Rouge and the Head of Marketing in Europe for T&G Global, where I help grow their premium Jazz and Envy apple brands across Europe. Outside of work, I’m proud to be a member of the Club Gastronomique Prosper Montagné, celebrating my love for great food and drink!
