About Cameron Welsh

I am a fourth year student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am pursuing a degree in Community Nonprofit Leadership with certificates in Public Policy and Design Strategy. During my education here at Madison, I have developed skills through the community based courses I have participated in and am looking for opportunities to utilize and expand on these concepts. I am currently interning at the Morgridge Center for Public Service working in the Badger Volunteers program as an Education Coordinator. It has taught me the importance of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and how to effectively maintain these connections. It has also allowed me to explore potential career paths. I have gained certain insights that have helped me conclude that I want to one day work on a university campus or larger-scale organization. Following this semester, I have been accepted as an intern with Assembly Representative Conley of the 44th district. I am passionate about her work with community change in regards to the state's education system and believe she is creating a better future for the generations to follow. After graduation, I am considering different grad school programs, but am looking to gain job experience prior to that.
