About Cameron Whiting

My name is Cam Whiting and I am a Computer Engineering student at Northeastern University in Boston. I am currently finishing my final semester of undergrad, completing my bachelors degree in 2 years with an 8 month full time co-op experience. I am especially interested in careers in digital design and FPGA development but have a wide range of experiences in both software and hardware. Through coursework at WPI and Northeastern, I have built a knowledge base of fundamentals in digital and analog computing, software applications, and relevant physics and chemistry topics. I have participated in educational lab settings where I grew comfortable using typical engineering lab equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering irons, and other debugging tools. At Doble Engineering, I was introduced to the circuit board design life cycle as well as new commercial software. Utilizing the Altium Designer software suite, I designed circuit schematics and arranged the corresponding PCB layouts. I built, tested, and brought up boards in a professional lab setting working with a team of incredibly talented engineers. I also produced large scale software solutions for the hardware engineering team primarily in the python and C programming languages. These projects provided an interface for the hardware engineers to communicate with prototype boards and systems without having to navigate complex command line processes and libraries.
