About Camille Bennett

As the Founder of Project Say Something, a nationally and internationally recognized organization, my journey has been rooted in confronting systemic injustices and empowering communities. Our organization has grown from local grassroots activism to a national beacon for change, focusing on dismantling anti-Black systems and advocating for family justice. We believe that grassroots political education and meeting the needs of low income Black communities go hand in hand. Through individual giving we are able to offer political education while offering the following services: free Doula services, Doula training scholarships, Black led fellowhips, The Black Mother's Emergency Fund and safe spaces for Black child care providers and caregivers. Our volunteer community led programming offers opportunities for community engagement, needs assessments and volunteer driven programming back pack drives, free stores etc. PSS spearheaded initiatives against harmful Anti Black legislation and policies in AL. Our public policy campaigns protect dissent, Black families and ALL Black communities. PSS partners with Black LGBTQIA+ founded and led organizations across AL to offer support and ally ship. Our issues based advocacy and mission-driven work reflects a deep commitment to the political empowerment and humanization of Black communities in Alabama and beyond.
