About Camilo Gil

I am a dynamic and multifaceted leader with a legacy of championing progress by building relationships with government and private entities through a practical, solution-oriented approach. I hold an MA and BA in Political Science combined with hands-on experience in project management, emergency management, and research and analysis. Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of serving in multiple key roles, including Senior Client Services Specialist, Campaign Technical Administrator, Research Consultant, Policy Analyst, and most recently, Research Associate and Project Coordinator for the Cumming School of Medicine. Inherently people- and results-centric, I have the proven ability to optimize teamwide efficiency by training and coaching staff while supplying constructive feedback and encouragement. I’m also comfortable guiding programs from end to end by gathering data to conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to inform policy and programming. My track record of success includes designing and managing a project to study the perceptions of 229 emergency managers from the public and non-profit sectors. We demonstrated the fragmented, disconnected, and reactive nature of Canadian emergency management, while proposing innovative solutions to enhance public safety.
