About Camilo Moreno

As a Ph.D. physicist involved in fundamental problems related to open-quantum systems, non-linear dynamics, and statistical physics, I am oriented into profound detailed-analysis from one hand and the grasp of global structures and correlations on the other hand when faced with problems. In this process, I have found new directions in the essential questions of quantum interference in dissipative systems and the role of quantum correlations in quantum thermodynamics. I have also worked in low-cost technology projects in Colombia (2013-2015), implementing Mesh-network structures together with vulnerable communities and developing tools for Free-Software education. I acquired personal leadership, team working skills, and thinking-oriented in strategic planning along with these projects. As an academic research assistant, I have co-created a permanent Lecture about the relation of Science, Technology, and Society at the National University of Colombia. More than four years of university teaching experience allowed me to train essential communication skills to present knowledge in a structured and motivating way. This was reflected in high evaluation scores from students during those years.
