Background
About Camryn Paulson
Living in New York City and Oklahoma has helped me dedicate my career to making a real difference for everyday citizens through marketing. My journey in politics began at a small level in New York City, when I was helping to launch a debut author's memoir. As the author's sole marketing staff, I discovered my passion for marketing people, as well as politics. It was the summer that Roe v. Wade was overturned when I moved to Oklahoma to try my hand at political marketing to make a difference at the local levels of office. Through the OSU College Democrats, and eventually the College Democrats of Oklahoma, I've worked my way up through various roles of the Democratic Party. From representing the Payne County Democrats as one of their state delegates, to having the honor of being elected as a national delegate for the 2024 DNC Convention, I have developed a deep understanding of political landscapes across the country. In the summer of 2023, I met a circle of amazing women in the nonprofit space, and we came together to found the Oklahoma Women's Network. With the support and guidance from the rest of our board, I was elected to be one of the Vice Presidents to help spearhead efforts in organizing female-centered organizations and initiatives across Oklahoma. During the 2024 election cycle, I had the pleasure of working as the Campaign Manager for Rep. Trish Ranson, who was running for her fourth term in a majority-Republican district during a general election year. With the team I led, I organized events and fundraisers, including concerts, forums, and various community-building programs. I also managed campaign finances, overseeing budgets and nearly all campaign expenditures. Thanks to our efforts, we won every precinct in the district, securing a decisive victory in a traditionally Republican stronghold. As of today, I work as a Coordinator for the Durable Markets Advocacy Team at the American Chemistry Council. I manage a subscription database, support strategic advocacy efforts, assist with financial operations, and coordinate high-impact meetings and events. My work helps drive industry advocacy for durable goods sustainability and advanced recycling. My whole life is defined by using my strengths and predilection to marketing to help others. Whether it's through organizational management, or crafting strong messaging for a great candidate, I truly strive to build a sustainable framework of communications for future leaders and movements.
