About Candace Miller

For more than ten years, I’ve specialized in aligning institutional priorities with innovative technology solutions. My work in education and EdTech has focused on improving curriculum delivery, reporting, and learner success by putting customer needs at the center of product development. My career began at Queen’s University, where I supported the Undergraduate Medicine program in a variety of roles. Working alongside faculty who balanced patient care with teaching gave me a firsthand perspective on the complexities of higher education and sparked my passion for building solutions that ease those challenges. Today, I serve as Chief Customer Success Officer at Fenix Alma Solutions Inc, leading strategy and engagement for VidaNovaVLE™, a purpose-built virtual learning environment. In this role, I oversee the entire customer journey, from implementation and onboarding through adoption and long-term success. I partner with institutional leaders and faculty to ensure our platform delivers measurable value while anticipating the evolving needs of higher education. I specialize in bridging the gap between customer priorities and product innovation. By translating institutional requirements into actionable technical specifications, I collaborate with our developers and designers to bring new features to life and ensure each release meets the highest standards of functionality and impact. My work has focused on scaling customer success operations to support a growing client base, while fostering a culture centred on advocacy, collaboration, and results. What continues to drive me is a vision for education that is both innovative and practical - technology designed not for its own sake, but to truly empower educators, learners, and institutions to succeed.
