About Candice Boutot

As a former Animal Care Specialist, I chose to obtain a Master's degree in Microbiology and Immunology to expand my knowledge and experience in Immunological principles and molecular biology-based research techniques. I am dedicated to continuous professional and personal development. My training has given me experience in many techniques of molecular biology including DNA extraction, PCR and RT-PCR, but also in cancer cell culture and aseptic technique. In addition, my experience as an Animal Care Specialist and a volunteer at an Animal hospital, has provided me with an additional skill set in animal handling, experimentation, and treatment. I am a fast learner looking to expand my expertise and to begin a career in research. I am especially interested in pharmaceuticals, vaccine development and Immunotherapies.
