Senior sustainability professional with modre than 20 year global experience working with NGOs, governments, consultancies, and businesses to develop sustainability strategies in food and agriculture supply chains to ensure positive social and environmental impact. Demonstrable track record in leading cross-functional, international teams to design and implement high-impact programs that deliver positive change for workers, communities and the environment whilst mitigating risk and improving access to market. Skilled in facilitating stakeholder collaboration / engagement / partnerships and in building local teams and supplier capacity to implement good human rights and environmental practises. Hands on field experience in UK, Italy, Mexico, US, Kenya, Morocco, South Africa, Spain, Portugal, Peru, India and Thailand among others. Fluent in English, Italian, Spanish and conversational in French. Candida shaped the design of Driscoll's Award-Winning social compliance programme and played a crucial role in its implementation. She was instrumental in supporting the development of the Mexican agriculture industry collaboration platform AHIFORES (Alianza Hortofrutícola Internacional para el Fomento de la Responsabilidad Social). At ETI she facilitated numerous successful collaborations including the Better Strawberries Working Group in collaboration with Oxfam in Morocco and led the development, fundraising and roll out of effective supplier capacity building programs in agriculture in Kenya and South Africa in collaboration with Partner Africa (former Africa Now) and other local organisations. Key areas of expertise include Sustainability Strategy development, planning, execution and reporting (major reporting frameworks such as CSRD, CDG, Ecovadis, etc), Human Rights and Environmental Due diligence, multi-stakeholder engagement and facilitation, Ethical Trade & Modern Slavery, Community Development and Impact reporting, Certifications (LEAF, GRSP, SMETA, BCorp).
