About Candon Johnson

My time working in academia in graduate school and now working as a federal government economist has given me a well rounded skill set. Also, growing up in a family business surrounded by blue-collar entrepreneurs has led to me having a highly driven work ethic and a unique mindset when analyzing business decisions. My experience in academia, government, consulting, and blue-collar entrepreneurship makes me a uniquely qualified and adaptable job candidate. I am able to lead my own independent research agenda, as well as be part of a large team effort. A passion for my research agenda tackling issues in sports economics and health economics remains, which I continue to work on outside of my duties with the U.S. FDA. I'm a driven economist that works well in an atmosphere that fosters collaboration and requires self-motivation. I have experience with both Python and Stata. My experience and skillset allows me to analyze unique datasets and conduct thought provoking research, leading to numerous peer reviewed journal articles and a high performance rating as a government employee.
