About Candy Steadman

I have spent many years working in healthcare, primarily working with patient registration, insurance and customer service. I have enjoyed learning more about hospital reimbursement and what is involved in making sure services are billed correctly and timely. I thrive in challenging environments, love problem solving and making difficult situations easier. I feel that the best way to meet deal with a difficult situation or problem is head on and I believe any of my former or current supervisors would agree that I work diligently until any task is completed correctly. I recently completed course work for the AAPC Professional Medical Coding Curriculum and received my certification in July of 2020 and am now the proud owner of a CPC-A certification. As of September of 2020 I accepted a position in the Trauma Department of UVMMC as a Trauma Registrar and am working towards my certification in that field as well. I find it the trauma program fascinating and love being partnof a dedicated team that works hard to make sure our data is correct and feel proud that what we do will be used to make real world changes.
