About Cannelle Magdane

After a career in business law, as a lawyer at the Paris and New York bar, I joined the world of legal tech to launch a B2B SaaS software for contract management. This first intrapreneurial experience gave me a taste for entrepreneurship and, in early 2023, I decided to leave the legal world to launch a new project in a field that is particularly close to my heart: mental health. Tuki is the first French-speaking platform for online support groups, led by trained peers and professionals. Our mission? Democratizing access to mental health care through community and peer-support. Every year, 13 million French people (1 in 5!) are affected by a mental disorder (anxiety, depression, burnout, post-traumatic stress, eating disorders, etc.). And even more are going through a difficult life event (grief, separation or divorce, cancer or other serious illness, etc.). Living with a mental disorder or going through a difficult life event can be an extremely isolating experience. Those around may not always fully understand what the person is going through. They can feel different, disconnected, even marginalized. At Tuki, our mission is to break this isolation by allowing everyone to easily and anonymously join a discussion group on the subjects that concern them, without leaving their couch. So they can share with others going through similar experiences. And because we also want to put an end to the stigma that still surrounds mental health, and give a voice to those concerned, we've launched a podcast of testimonials dedicated to mental health (Ouvrir la boite, parlons santé mentale).
