About Canny Tung

After completing my M.Eng. in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2021, I gained international experience working at WSP in Hong Kong. There, I contributed to municipal infrastructure projects—designing drainage, sewerage, and water supply systems from preliminary to detailed phases. Navigating complex utility networks in a dense urban environment was both a technical challenge and a valuable learning experience. Now back in Canada, I'm excited to expand into other areas within the water resources field. With climate change intensifying extreme weather events like floods and droughts, I’m deeply motivated to contribute to sustainable and adaptive water management solutions. I believe proper stewardship of this critical and increasingly scarce resource is key to ensuring our communities remain safe, resilient, and livable.Outside of work, I love to travel and explore new cultures—and I’m always eager to connect with like-minded professionals.
