About Cara Malki

My passion is collaborating with people to further develop and enhance their Business Units resilience capability. I have worked as a Business Continuity Practitioner for several years with the main focus on uplifting BCM maturity across an Enterprise. I am currently employed as a Business Continuity Manager at Westpac. Prior to Westpac I had worked at NAB for 18 years (Jun 2004 - Jul 2022) performing various roles across differing divisions during that time, including the role of an Associate Director within Enterprise Resilience. Prior to NAB, I worked for Travelex Worldwide Money as an FX Sales Consultant, whilst completing my university degree. In 2004 I completed my degree in Commerce, majoring in Finance and Marketing at Deakin University. I then went on to obtain a Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) in 2012 due to my interest on Business Continuity Management. Following on to complete the FINSIA Professional Banking Fundamentals Certificate in 2022 (Affiliate of the Financial Services Institute of Australia). I have also committed to 'The Banking and Finance Oath' holding a certificate of commitment.
