Background
About Cara Scharf
I am an educator and curriculum designer who focuses on critical pedagogy and enjoys helping students think about their identity, community responsibility, understanding of systemic inequality, and role in making social change. At Drexel I manage a required undergraduate course, Intro to Civic Engagement, which puts me in charge of many processes such as hiring, training, supporting a team of facilitators, assessing and updating curriculum, and collaborating with stakeholders around the University. In my personal life I organize for social justice in my neighborhood and volunteer for causes that advance racial and economic justice.
