Background
About Cara Short
I am a dedicated higher education professional with a passion for fostering student success and creating equitable best practices within the field of enrollment management. With over five years of experience in financial aid, undergraduate admissions, and marketing and communications, I specialize in uplifting higher education institutions in their efforts of empowering students in their educational journeys through effective customer service and strategic communication. Currently, I serve as Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Butler University, where I lead the charge in creating successful marketing and communication strategies for the Office of Financial Aid. This critical work involves supporting a high volume of incoming and current students as well as managing the awarding process for the University's largest scholarship programs. My approach combines a deep understanding of educational needs with a strategic mindset to drive positive outcomes for both students and the institution.
