About Cara Tate

My career has a strong focus on the enrichment of the lives of all ages who have struggled to cope with difficult life changes. It is a privilege to be supporting clients & whānau in our community with varied challenges and providing assistance to create new possibilities. I am experienced in leadership of teams to inspire and drive working partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders in special education, health services, tertiary and with social service sectors. I'm an experienced Occupational Therapist with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health and vocational rehabilitation sector. Skilled in talking therapy modalities CBT, ACT and group facilitation. Occupational Therapy Assessment, and Interventions. Mental Health Assessment Management and Healthcare. I have a passion for mentoring, coaching and supervising health professionals. I was selected & completed the fantastic opportunity of the NZUWIL (New Zealand University Women in Leadership) residential program. Bachelor of Science Occupational Therapy, ACT/CBT certificates, Cert in Supervision Wintec, Cert in Health Science from SIT Southern Institute of Technology.
