As a divorce coach, the first thing I typically do is help my clients process all the feelings around divorce. Then, I help then strengthen their communication with the ex, keeping what's best for the kids in mind. I also help them with interpreting all the legal stuff and mounds of paperwork they'll face. My job is to help them come out of divorce with as few bumps and bruises as possible and with the confidence to face the future. Most recently I have started a career as a Certified Divorce Coach and my business Coaching with Cari. I earned my certification early in 2023. I have been a school counselor at an elementary school for the past eight years helping students and parents navigate emotions as well as any struggles with access to academics and placement. Prior to that I was an elementary school classroom teacher for nine years teaching grades one through four. Before I was a classroom teacher I was a family therapist working with kids and their families. While earning my bachelor and master degree I worked with children of all ages in a variety of settings including daycares, after school programs.
