About Cari Doguet

With over 39 years of experience as a pharmacist, I have developed a strong background in providing clinical, hospital, and retail pharmacy services. I currently work as a pharmacist at H-E-B, where I have devoted my skills & time to improving patient outcomes. With years as a hospital director of pharmacy, I have extensive experience in design, installations, and managing pharmacy automation systems, such as Omnicell and Pyxis to ensure safe and efficient medication management. I have extensive knowledge of software systems such as Epic, CPSI,Meditech, and HCS. In addition, the last 9 years I have served as a director of pharmacy at Luker Pharmacy Management Inc, overseeing a critical access hospital and several clinics. I was responsible for all medication and automated medication cabinet operations, as well as daily reconciliation of controlled substances. I have 5 years of Chemotherapy experience that includes complete knowledge of medication procurement, performing dose related checks & balances, compounding the high risk medications as well as pre-meds. I was involved in the design process for a state of the art sterile room that met USP 800 guidelines. I have a BS in Pharmacy from The University of Texas at Austin and a undergraduate studies in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University. My focus is to deliver high-quality and patient-centered pharmacy care, leveraging my skills and expertise in pharmacy practice in a hospital setting. My passion is infectious disease management in high acuity patients. My ability to maintain an inspection ready pharmacy has gained me many recognitions from leadership in my hospital positions. My attention to detail and knowledge of controlled substance processes has maintained my hospitals in excellent standing with regulatory entities. Educational opportunities for the clinical staff, including nursing, is an integral part of my focus. Positive attitude, leading by example, and hard work are my strong points for managing a productive & talented staff.
